Laura Briggs

Laura Briggs is the Director of the Bachelor of Fine Arts in Architectural Design program. She is a founding partner of BriggsKnowles Architecture+Design , a practice recognized for its use of light, color and ecological strategies. Their work has appeared in many publications including AD , Dwell , Domus , the Home Living Channel , The New York Times , and Metropolis Magazine . Projects range from speculative work on the city and research into the integration of photovoltaic and interactive energy technologies into building surfaces. Briggs has taught design studio and construction technology at the University of Pennsylvania, Cornell University, Columbia University New York/Paris, Rhode Island School of Design and the University of Michigan, where she was the Muschenheim Fellow. Briggs holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Rhode Island School of Design and a Master of Architecture from Columbia University.
