Applicants to the freshman year intending to major in Architectural Design should apply directly to Parsons The New School for Design at Parsons Apply.

Intended Architectural Design majors must successfully complete the Parsons-wide first-year core studies program to be eligible for the major. Declaration of major-choice and application to the major occurs during the spring term of the freshman year. Acceptance to the major is based primarily on a review of academic credentials and the portfolio. Students typically matriculate into the BFA AD program in their sophomore (i.e. second) year.
